Almost every part of daily life now runs through a network. We pay with a tap, check the news on an app, and expect the store's systems to work every time. Usually they do. Outage Depot exists for the days they don't.

We focus on one kind of problem: multi-day outages of the internet, card networks, and checkout systems, whether the cause is a power failure, a cyberattack, a bad software update, or an automated system failing in ways nobody expected. We don't predict when that will happen. We help you get ready for it.

What we do

• Checklists you can print and work through in an afternoon.
• A shop of everyday gear, each item tied to a real outage job.

What we won't do

• Sell fear. No countdown clocks, no doomsday talk, no “stock up or else.”
• Sell conspiracy products or anything claiming to cure or prevent illness.
• Invent statistics. When we cite a number, we name where it came from.
• Tell you to buy what you can borrow or skip.

Who we write for

Renters and homeowners in cities and suburbs, with a focus on apartments. That means small storage, shared walls, elevators, landlord rules, and no room for a generator.
